Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, public school buildings teaching any grades 6–12 must post work rules in English and Spanish. Notices must summarize Kentucky's child labor laws, list jobs limited or banned for minors, and show allowed hours for each day. The same information must appear on a school or district website. Required school displays must be prominent: in entryways, cafeterias, or common areas where students are likely to see them.
School sports consent forms must tell student-athletes they can report suspected child abuse, neglect, or dependency to any adult. Forms must explain the legal reporting duty and include references to reporting instructions. Kentucky's education board or its designated athletics authority must include reporting duties and procedures in training for covered administrators and coaches. These authorities cannot adopt rules that conflict with the consent-form requirements.
Kentucky's education board or its designated athletics authority can bar seventh- and eighth-graders from high school boys' or coed lacrosse. The law does not itself ban these students from playing. The ban on rules excluding these grades from other high school sports remains, except for varsity soccer and football.
