Flag display rights for homeowners and renters

Louisiana law protects your right to display a removable, portable U.S. flag in planned communities, condominiums, and rental housing. It covers only new covenants, declarations, contract terms, leases, and rental agreements made after the law's effective date. Existing agreements are unchanged. Associations and landlords can still set reasonable rules about the flag's size, time, place, and manner of display. You can ask a court to order a violation stopped. If the court grants that order, court costs and reasonable attorney fees are available to the winning party.
