Beginning January 1, 2026, Maryland Medicaid covers home blood pressure monitoring for eligible members. Members qualify if pregnant, postpartum, or diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, or a cardiometabolic disease. Coverage includes accurate home monitors listed in the U.S. Blood Pressure Validated Device Listing. It also pays for provider and staff time for training, sending and reviewing readings, reporting, and remote monitoring. Related support, including educational materials or classes, is also covered. Coverage is subject to state budget limits and federal law. The law takes effect July 1, 2025.
