Higher no-bid limit for architects and engineers

The law raises the informal selection cap from $25,000 to $50,000 for professional, architectural, and engineering services. For work priced at $50,000 or less, the bureau may choose from its qualified list without advertising or competitive selection. The bureau must still run general ads to build the list, including in newspapers or professional journals. It may require a questionnaire on experience and skills. The bureau updates the qualified list at least every two years.
