New intent rules for robbery in Maine

The law updates how Maine defines robbery. A person must intentionally or knowingly threaten force, or put someone present in fear of force that is about to happen. They must also intend to stop resistance to taking property or to keeping it right after the taking. Or they must intend to make the person in control give it up or help carry it away. A violation is a Class B crime.
