Homeland Security Council adds members, sets roles

The law expands the Homeland Security Advisory Council to 11 members. It adds the state Chief Information Officer and the Maine School Safety Center director, or their designees. The director serves as the council chair. The Commissioner of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management advises the council. Any commissioner’s designee on the council must be a uniformed law enforcement officer.
