Fewer deed limits for Knox Museum
The law requires the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands to change the deed for Montpelier, the General Henry Knox Museum in Thomaston. The deed no longer ties preservation work to Maine Historic Preservation Commission standards. It also removes the rule that the museum must be used for public education. The reversion clause is deleted, so the building and its collections do not revert to the state if those uses stop.
