State study on neonicotinoid impacts
The Board of Pesticides Control must study neonicotinoids and treated seeds. The study reviews effects on pollinators, people, soil, water, and plant tissues. The board gives special focus to potato and corn crops. It must get public input by a hearing or a request for information. A preliminary report is due by January 23, 2026, and a final report by January 15, 2027. The law takes effect when approved.
