More time to charge future aggravated sex trafficking
The law extends the time to bring aggravated sex trafficking charges, but only for crimes committed on or after the law’s effective date. It removes a clause that would have applied the longer time limit to older offenses not yet time-barred. Offenses that happened before the effective date keep the old deadlines and cannot use the new extension.
