Easier to run child care in neighborhoods
The law lets child care centers and family child care homes operate in areas zoned for housing. They must follow the same rules as other homes in that zone. Providers can operate without an on-site outdoor play area if a public recreational space is within a reasonable distance. These changes reduce barriers and can add more child care near where families live.
