Maine renters can end lease for missing energy form

Beginning January 1, 2030, if you are a tenant covered by subsection 2 and you do not get a signed energy efficiency disclosure, you can end your lease. You must give your landlord 30 days' written notice. If you end the lease for that reason, the landlord cannot keep any fees or any part of your security deposit, except as allowed by section 6033.
