The law tightens who can claim Maine’s visual media production tax credit. Finished productions that ask people for money do not qualify. Productions that must keep records under 18 U.S.C. §2257 do not qualify. Ads or promotional videos that advance a product or service do not qualify. Works made mainly for industrial, corporate, institutional, or internal use do not qualify.
