Relocation help for Maine crime victims

Maine expands its victim compensation program. It covers moving costs and security deposits if a crime in subsection 3 injured you. It also covers medical care, counseling, lost wages, funeral costs, travel, and caregiver income loss. It can pay for crime‑scene cleanup, new or repaired locks, and to replace eyeglasses, hearing aids, or dentures. Costs must be actually and reasonably incurred because of the injury.
