State model lease for renters and landlords

The Attorney General must post a free model residential lease on the office website by December 1, 2025. The model follows current Maine law and includes all required disclosures and attachments. The Attorney General updates it every two years, posting by December 1 of each odd-numbered year. Using the form is optional for landlords and tenants. The office must do this with existing staff and budget; no new funding is provided.
