Textured-hair training at beauty schools

The law requires state licensing rules for cosmetology, barber, and hair design schools to cover textured hair care. Schools must teach styling and treatment of textured hair. Rules also cover instructor qualifications, school operations, student records, health, safety and sanitation, facilities and off-site classrooms, refunds, and student notices. Rules must include how programs give credit for training that matches their applied courses. Owners and instructors must meet these standards. Students will learn textured-hair care and safety.
