Remote lawyer appearances for pretrial hearings

The law requires Maine courts to schedule remote lawyer appearances for pretrial criminal matters that do not involve testimony. Courts must do this as much as possible. A judge can require in-person if that better serves the interests of justice. "Remote methods" use the standard definition of remote communication in Maine law.
