Form explains oversized ATV eligibility

When you ask to register an oversized ATV, the agent must give you the department’s written form. It explains size and weight limits, says if your ATV qualifies, and explains trail‑use rules. The department makes this standard form for agents to use.

ATV registration rules and $1 surcharge

Annual ATV registration lasts one year starting July 1. If issued after May 1 and before July 1, it runs until June 30 of the next year. If a department employee issues your registration, you pay $1 more. You must include a copy of the required signed form with your application. You must show the registration stickers clearly on the front and back of the ATV.

Dealers must disclose oversized ATV limits

Dealers cannot sell an oversized ATV unless they give the buyer the department’s written form. The form explains size and weight limits and trail rules. The dealer must check a box showing if the ATV is oversized and get the buyer’s signature. After the sale, the dealer must keep a copy and send a copy to the department.
