Forfeited gun auction money to Safe Homes Fund

The Attorney General must update rules on selling forfeited firearms. Money from auctions of guns forfeited to the State goes into the Safe Homes Program Fund. The Department of Administrative and Financial Services keeps 12% of those proceeds. State Police, sheriff’s offices, and municipal police keep money from firearms forfeited to their own departments.
