Statewide Silver Alerts for Endangered People

The state runs a Silver Alert program for missing endangered people. It works with transportation, the turnpike, broadcasters, the Governor’s Office, and law enforcement. Local police use clear rules to decide who qualifies, what details to share, and when to activate alerts. Alerts go to police statewide, the media, highway message boards when needed, and to every hospital, every homeless shelter, and a statewide library group. All officers get training. Agencies carry this out using existing staff and budgets.
