The law stops any city or town from banning safe, commercially available heating or energy systems for homes, businesses, or vehicles. Cities also cannot bar you from hiring an installer or energy distributor to install, connect, service, or resupply those systems. This rule applies only to systems that are safe and on the market, and other state laws still apply. Cities may still promote or fund certain systems, and the law does not change installer licensing or permit rules.
