Grants for active-duty transition support

The law creates a state fund and program to help active-duty members and their families move to civilian life. It pays grants to groups that provide outreach, job help, and family support. The fund can take state, federal, or private money. Interest stays in the fund and unspent money carries forward. By September 30, 2025, and each year after, $200,000 is transferred into this fund. The budget also allocates $200,000 in 2025-26 and $200,000 in 2026-27 for these grants.

Housing help for survivors and veterans

The law creates a fund and program to help groups provide housing and support to unhoused veterans, their children, and survivors of military sexual trauma. The fund can receive state, federal, or private money, and unspent money carries forward. By September 30, 2025, and each year after, $285,000 is transferred into this fund. The budget also allocates $285,000 in 2025-26 and $285,000 in 2026-27 for these grants.

Medical cannabis fund updates and repeal

The law updates the medical cannabis fund. The fund can pay the department’s costs to run the program and can award medical cannabis research grants. The law also repeals an older subsection of the same statute. These changes do not list new dollar amounts.
