More funding for Maine court buildings

Beginning July 1, 2025, the Maine Governmental Facilities Authority can issue securities with up to $95.6 million outstanding at one time. The money can only pay for planning, buying, building, renovating, furnishing, equipping, improving, expanding, or consolidating court facilities. It also funds ventilation upgrades in Presque Isle, Lewiston, Rockland, Skowhegan, and West Bath. It covers property for courts in Oxford, Waldo, Penobscot, York, and Hancock counties, and 55 Lisbon Street in Lewiston. It also funds parking near the Capital Judicial Center in Augusta, land in Skowhegan for future expansion, and planning for other court sites.
