Rights and liability for elver licensees
Licensed elver fishers may fish for, take, possess, transport, and sell elvers they catch, but only inside the state. If you hold an elver license with crew, you are legally responsible for licensed activities done by an unlicensed crew member who assists you under subsection 1-B. This emergency law takes effect when approved.
More help allowed to empty elver nets
The tag holder or an unlicensed crew member who helps that holder may empty a tagged elver fyke net. The tag holder may also let another person with an elver license empty that tagged net under the tag holder’s direct supervision, with the tag on the net. This emergency law takes effect when approved.
