More EV and home upgrades for lower-income Mainers
The law directs the Efficiency Maine Trust to steer more help to lower-income households. At least 50% of all electric vehicle rebate funds go to low- and moderate-income Maine residents. At least 50% of weatherization and heat pump incentive funds for homes also go to this group. These rules apply during the Trust’s sixth three-year plan. The law does not add new money; it changes how existing funds are split, so your savings depend on program budgets and rules.
