Poker fees fund Tinian and Aguiguan agencies

The law provides $54,000 from Second Senatorial District poker fees, separate from the fiscal year 2026 budget. The Mayor of Tinian and Aguiguan gets $42,000: $32,000 for office operations, staff, professional services, and public programs; $10,000 for a discretionary fund. The Tinian Municipal Council gets $3,000 for public programs and office operations. The Tinian and Aguiguan Legislative Delegation gets $4,000 for operations. The Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission gets $5,000 for staff and operations. The Mayor controls spending for the Mayor’s office and Commission; the Council and Delegation chairmen control their respective funds.

Local funds stay available with spending limits

Recipient entities can use these funds beyond the fiscal year, but cannot move them to another purpose. They must report all expenses to the Secretary of the Department of Finance by December 31, 2026. Failure to report bars an entity from receiving future funds appropriated by the Tinian and Aguiguan Legislative Delegation. These rules apply to the funded entities, not directly to households.
