Tinian mayor gets funding with reporting rules

The law provides $42,000 once from Second Senatorial District poker fees to Tinian and Aguiguan’s mayor’s office. The money supports operations, staff, and public programs. The Secretary of Finance must transfer it to the Tinian Municipal Treasurer, with the mayor controlling spending. The money cannot be shifted to other purposes and has no fiscal-year limit. Commonwealth accounting, audit, and Finance oversight rules still apply. The treasurer must send monthly spending reports and supporting records to the Secretary of Finance. The recipient must report all spending to the Secretary by the end of 2026. Incomplete reporting disqualifies the recipient from any future funding appropriated by the Tinian and Aguiguan Legislative Delegation.
