Beginning July 1, 2025, eligible members of Mississippi’s health insurance certification study committee receive daily pay and expense reimbursement. Nonlegislator members qualify if they are not state officials or employees. They receive the state’s statutory daily rate, plus reimbursement for mileage and actual expenses. Legislative members are paid from their chamber’s expense fund. No payments cover meetings held while the Legislature is in session. Expenses require advance committee approval by a vote recorded in the minutes.
