Beginning July 1, 2025, Mississippi Supreme Court justices and Court of Appeals judges receive expense allowances for judicial duties statewide. This statewide allowance covers up to 12 days per month of actual judicial work. The existing allowance for judicial work in Jackson covers up to 20 days per month. The combined limit remains 20 days per month, not 32. The daily rate remains the federal maximum daily travel expense rate for Jackson, paid in addition to salary and mileage reimbursement.
