Beginning July 1, 2025, Mississippi election commissioners can receive up to $35 extra per qualifying election. The county board of supervisors decides whether to pay the extra amount from the county general fund. Commissioners must perform election-day duties in a primary, runoff, general, or special election. They must hold the required elections seminar certificate to receive pay. Existing annual compensation limits still apply.
