Mississippi's Board of Health must fairly divide appropriated Burn Care Fund money among all certified health centers. The money goes to the Mississippi Department of Health for its burn care duties. It no longer automatically shifts to the University of Mississippi Medical Center when the Mississippi Burn Center becomes operational. The law sets no funding amount or formula for dividing the money.
