Cities can limit camping and stored belongings

The law lets cities and towns with general powers set rules for city-owned land. They can ban or limit sleeping, camping, or living on parks, sidewalks, rights-of-way, and other city land. They can also ban or regulate leaving or storing personal belongings on that land. If you sleep, camp, or store items there, the city can require you to move and clear the area, subject to state law. This may improve access for other residents but tightens rules for people who rely on public land for shelter or storage.
