Review panels must share written decisions

When a review panel issues a decision, it must give the written decision to the parties and their lawyers. The panel must keep a copy in its permanent files. In cases involving a health care provider, the panel also sends the decision to the provider’s licensing board.

Medical board reports: protection and penalties

People and organizations that give information in good faith to the state medical board are immune from civil damages for that report. State agencies can suspend a state license or privilege for up to one month if someone willfully fails to make a required report. The law also repeals the rule that insurers must report to the board, so insurers no longer have that duty.
