Legislature controls its own rules

The law gives the Montana Legislature sole power over its own proceedings. It can make, enforce, interpret, suspend, repeal, or waive its rules. Judicial officers cannot review or interpret those rules unless a rule may conflict with the Montana or U.S. Constitution. “Judicial officer” uses the definition in 1-1202(2). The law takes effect on passage and approval.
