In-state tuition for New Hampshire voters
Beginning 60 days after enactment, New Hampshire-registered voters qualify for in-state undergraduate tuition in two public college systems. This covers every institution in the University System of New Hampshire and Community College System of New Hampshire. Students must submit satisfactory written proof of voter registration before each academic year. The University System benefit lasts up to 4 years. The law sets no time limit for the Community College System benefit.
College IDs no longer qualify for voting
Beginning 60 days after enactment, college and university IDs no longer qualify as photo identification to obtain a ballot. Qualifying student photo IDs must come from a New Hampshire public high school or an accredited New Hampshire nonpublic high school. The nonpublic school's accrediting agency must be recognized by the Department of Education. Cards must have an expiration date or issue date no more than 5 years old.
