Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Longer vehicle equipment waivers for disabled residents

New Hampshire vehicle equipment waivers for people with disabilities can last up to 4 years, rather than the usual 2-year maximum. A licensed physician, New Hampshire-licensed advanced practice registered nurse, or New Hampshire-licensed physician associate must document a lasting medical need. The law adds these nurses and physician associates as authorized certifiers. Residents can reapply before the extended waiver expires. This change takes effect 60 days after passage.

More providers certify children's vaccine exemptions

New Hampshire-licensed advanced practice registered nurses and physician associates can now certify children's medical vaccine exemptions, alongside eligible physicians. The provider must determine that a vaccine against a particular disease may harm the child's health. The exemption lasts only for the time the provider determines the vaccine may be harmful. It does not waive other required vaccines. This change takes effect 60 days after passage.
