School bullying committee gets mileage reimbursement

Effective upon passage, the law creates a four-member committee to study school bullying in New Hampshire and ways to prevent it. The Senate president appoints one senator, and the House speaker appoints three representatives. Members receive mileage reimbursement at the legislative rate for committee duties; no total dollar amount is specified. The first-named senator must call the first meeting within 45 days after the law takes effect. Members elect a chair, and three members are needed for a quorum. By November 1, 2026, the committee must report its findings and any recommendations for legislation.
