Starting March 6, 2025, New Jersey extends homestead property tax reimbursement eligibility to Railroad Retirement Act disability recipients. You must receive those payments on December 31, 1998, or December 31 of the year you claim. Existing income and New Jersey residency requirements still apply. You must also meet the program’s homeownership requirements or own a mobile or manufactured home on a qualifying rented park site. This expansion does not set a reimbursement amount.
