Beginning July 1, 2025, New Mexico raises its annual rural broadband allocation from $30 million to $40 million. That amount is reduced by spending on other carrier support under the fund. Eligible service providers get funding to build or maintain broadband networks. The law also raises the overall annual fund cap from $30 million to $40 million, including obligations, administration, and reserves. This adds funding capacity but does not guarantee service to any household.
