Reproductive health defined for protections

Beginning July 1, 2025, the law defines reproductive health to include prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, birth control, vasectomy, tubal ligation, abortion and abortion care, miscarriage care, and infertility care. This definition decides who and which services can use the new privacy and DMV address options.

Alternate DMV address for providers

Beginning July 1, 2025, eligible health workers can ask Nevada DMV to show an alternate address on a driver license or ID. This includes reproductive health providers, staff or volunteers at reproductive health facilities, gender-affirming care providers, and their spouse, domestic partner, or minor child. You must provide proof that you qualify and give your home and mailing addresses.

Privacy in public records for providers

Beginning July 1, 2025, certain health workers can keep their personal info private in public records. Reproductive health providers, staff or volunteers at reproductive health facilities, gender-affirming care providers, and their spouse, domestic partner, or minor child can ask for confidentiality. This applies to records held by the county recorder, county assessor, and the Secretary of State or a county or city clerk. The law covers the kinds of personal details listed in state law for those offices.
