Counties must coordinate cleanups near state roads

In Nevada counties with 700,000 or more people, the county board must tell the state Transportation Department before clearing a homeless camp. This rule applies only when the camp is immediately next to a state‑controlled road or highway right‑of‑way. The Transportation Department may work with a county homeless outreach team and may join the cleanup. A homeless outreach team is one the county sets up or designates.
