Narrower secrecy on cannabis research records

The law removes a reference to the cannabis research statute from Nevada’s public-records exception list. Agencies cannot treat records covered only by that reference as automatically confidential. You can ask to see or get copies of those records. Other disclosure limits in law still apply.

Nevada medical school cannabis program repealed

The law repeals state rules that made the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine run a medical cannabis research and evaluation program for people with chronic or debilitating conditions. The school no longer has to create or operate that program. No new program or funding replaces it.
