Nevada can set rules for tutoring vendors

Beginning July 1, 2025, the State Board can set rules for high‑impact tutoring vendors that contract with school districts or charter schools. Rules must follow evidence‑based best practices. They cover meeting frequency, how students are chosen, tutoring methods, and maximum student‑to‑tutor ratios. They set tutor qualifications, training, and instructional materials. Programs must track each student's progress and report it to teachers, administrators, and the parent or guardian. Vendors must keep student data secure and follow privacy laws, including FERPA.
