Statewide long-term care planning help

Nevada’s Aging and Disability Services Division runs a program to help residents plan for long-term care. It runs a media campaign, a website with tools, and statewide workshops with partners. It makes guides and brochures and targets non-English speakers, veterans, and rural residents. The rollout happens in phases, starting in areas with many seniors or limited access; pilot counties test what works. The Division tracks results and files a report each year by February 1 to lawmakers (even-numbered years to the Legislative Commission and the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Health and Human Services; odd-numbered years to the next Legislature), and it can adopt rules.

Special rule for legislative reports

New or changed report requirements in this act do not follow the usual rule in NRS 218D.380(1). This applies to agencies or officials who must file those legislative reports.
