Fee cap for J-1 exchange teachers

Starting July 1, 2025, Nevada districts cannot partner with J-1 teacher sponsors or recruiters that charge over $10,000 per person. The $10,000 limit covers fees and costs for each participant and each applicant. Contracts in place on July 1, 2025 are exempt, but any renewal or extension after that date must meet the limit. The law is effective upon passage and approval for rulemaking and prep.
