Career coaches in Nevada middle schools

The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation can set up and run a program to place career coaches in Nevada middle and junior high schools when money is available. Coaches give students guidance in and out of class on career paths, needed skills and training, financial literacy, and options they can take in high school. The Department must work with schools, other agencies, chambers of commerce, nonprofits, trade groups, and regional development authorities. It must place coaches first in schools located in ZIP codes with high unemployment. The Department can accept grants, gifts, and donations, and can award grants or sign contracts with experts to deliver the program.
