Nye County sales tax stays in place

The law keeps Nye County’s local sales and use tax in place. Sections 3–22 no longer expire on October 1, 2027, and Section 25 no longer expires on September 30, 2027. Shoppers and retailers in Nye County continue to pay and collect the same local rate; the tax rules do not change. The money supports firefighters, sheriff’s deputies, and public safety buildings in Pahrump, Amargosa Valley, Beatty, Tonopah, Round Mountain, Manhattan, Gabbs, and other Nye County towns. This change takes effect upon passage and approval.
