State partnerships and rollout timeline

The state health division can partner with CPR trainers, emergency groups, hospitals, insurers, and other public or private groups. It can create advisory committees and accept gifts, grants, and donations to run the program. The Division can start rulemaking and other prep now. The program is fully in effect January 1, 2026.

State program connects you to CPR help

The state health division runs a program to improve response in medical emergencies. It helps volunteers get CPR or Community Emergency Response Team training. CPR-certified volunteers can register so the Division can notify people in an emergency about their location. The program shows where registered volunteers, health facilities, and first-aid or bleeding-control kits are. It uses signs, phone apps, and QR codes. The Division can start planning now. Full services start January 1, 2026.

Support to earn HEARTSafe status

The program gives resources and incentives to help Nevada communities earn the HEARTSafe Community award, or its successor. The Division encourages and supports communities that choose to apply. Planning can start now. These supports are available January 1, 2026.
