Gambling offenders must forfeit illegal profits

Courts must take any profits, gross receipts, or gains from illegal gambling crimes and send the money to the State General Fund. For cheating and related offenses, a first offense is a category C felony with profit forfeiture. A second or later offense is a category B felony with 1 to 6 years in prison, a fine up to $10,000, and profit forfeiture. Attempts and conspiracies are punished the same as the completed crime and also lose profits. Knowingly taking a bet from someone in Nevada, even by phone, internet, or through an agent, is a gross misdemeanor, and the court orders you to give up the gains. Willful licensing violations carry a category B felony with 1 to 10 years in prison, a fine up to $50,000, and mandatory forfeiture of profits to the General Fund.
