2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.

Ban and penalties for AI child porn

The law treats realistic AI or edited images of minors as child pornography. It is illegal to make, sell, share, or advertise this material, or any visual that shows a child in sexual acts. First-time distribution is a category B felony (1–15 years, up to $15,000); later offenses are category A (10 years–life, up to $15,000). Possessing images that show a person under 16, or any computer‑generated child pornography, is also a crime (first offense 1–6 years, up to $5,000; later offenses 1 year–life, up to $5,000). A distribution conviction bars a second conviction for possessing the same file.

Lifetime supervision for sex offenders

Courts must order lifetime supervision after prison, probation, or parole for anyone convicted of a sexual offense. A person can ask the court or the Parole Board to end supervision. Release must be granted after at least 10 straight years without a safety‑threatening conviction, compliance with sex‑offender rules, and a licensed clinician’s finding that the person is not likely to be dangerous. Even after release, the person must keep registering and is still subject to community notification unless relieved under Nevada’s registration laws.
