Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.

No parking within 20 feet of crosswalks

Beginning October 1, 2025, you cannot stop, stand, or park within 20 feet of any marked or unmarked crosswalk in Nevada. A city or county may set a longer distance for safety, but must post official signs first. Existing exceptions in Nevada law still apply.

Crosswalk rule warnings until 2027, then tickets

Beginning October 1, 2025, you must follow any official no‑stopping, no‑standing, or no‑parking signs; violations are unlawful. For the crosswalk‑distance rule only, from October 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026, police can act only where an official sign gives notice, and they may give a warning, not a ticket. If no sign is posted, they cannot enforce this crosswalk‑distance rule during this period; full enforcement, including citations, starts January 1, 2027.
